More information

The Gray Wolf (or Timber Wolf) enjoys living in forested regions, but it is adaptable and also does well in mountains, grasslands, tundra, and taiga.

The fur color of the "Gray" Wolf varies widely and includes not just gray, but also combinations of black, white, gray-brown, brown, and red. Their coats tend to become more gray with age.

Young pups generally have darker fur that lightens as they grow. They are born with blue eyes that change to golden-yellow or orange after two to four months.
